OUR CONCERNS
The Artist
We are committed to the personal and professional well-being of
artists. This includes their personal restoration, character development,
success in their lives and families, and their development as skilful
artisans. We are concerned that art-makers find affirmation and
encouragement in the church.
The Church
We support and help to assist the church in her mandate to make
God known to this generation. We are committed to work towards reconciliation
not only for 'artists and the church', but also for 'art and the
church.' We encourage the church to develop the ability to critically
discern the art of our culture and to recognise the significant
role of the arts in worshipping God and making Him known.
The Next Generation
We desire that the 'Next Generation' realise the relevance of the
Gospel to all of life, that they embrace their significance as history
makers and are motivated by God's love to make a difference in their
world. Some people call them teenagers - we call them the future!
Europe
We recognise that Europe possesses a legacy of magnificent Christian
art that is their heritage. However, in the face of the current
dominance of relativism and existentialism, and the consequent erosion
of European society, we as Creative Arts Europe aspire to permeate
European culture once again with Godly art that offers hope and
life.
OUR VALUES
Character
We endeavour to promote moral excellence, servant-hood and
integrity.
Compassion
We desire to be compassionately involved in the current needs of
European societies.
Craftsmanship
We strive for excellence and integrity in the pursuit of our artistic
work.
Creative Ingenuity
We strive to be innovative in our approach so as to dialogue effectively
with our culture.
Christian Unity
We encourage the appreciation of our diversities and recognise the
need for interdependency.
Contemporary Communication
We work towards addressing relevant issues using the language of
the arts.
Content
We wish to create art that expresses the entire spectrum of life,
inspired by a biblical world view.
Communion
We value the privilege of worshipping God and loving one another,
using all our talents.
